Thursday Thoughts
Hey everyone! How’s the week going!?! I’m excited about today: although it’s my looongest day at school (4 classes, 10:40am – 7:25pm which isn’t even super long) it is the last day of the week for me!!! Wooohoooo for graduate teachers never scheduling their classes on Fridays! But don’t feel too bad, I have a feeling I’ll be spending plenty of the day reading for next week. This week was horribly overwhelming because 1) I didn’t have all my books to get the reading done and 2) well, I was still in summer mode and just didn’t’ want to. Oops. Gotta kick it into gear this weekend.
Oh, but do be jealous of who I may go visit tomorrow:
And be jealous that I got to hang out with her and my brother for a bit while I picked up some of my school books that I had shipped to his apartment. She’s fantastic. My brother is alright too.
Anyway, I’ll stop jabbering and leave you with this week’s Thursday Thoughts!
1. My Monday was a pretty good day with a good workout, my first class, and some successful shopping. However, when I got home I had this waiting in my mailbox, and my day went from good to super awesome. Thank you Clara!!!!
2. Remember how Molly loves to stare at bunnies? She also loves to stare at birds out the window…
3. I watched the movie “A Little Bit of Heaven” with Kate Hudson on Netflix, half Sunday night and the rest Monday evening. I literally sobbed the whole last half hour. SOBBED. That ugly, I can’t even breath kind of sobbing. Several tissues were necessary.
4. Can we please discuss this Starbucks app?!? How did I not know about this!? You can just scan the app rather than your card! And this sure beats going online to figure out my balance.
5. Part of my kitchen clean up involved putting most of my bulk items in jars. I cut out the nutritional label and taped it on the back of the jar so I’d know what it was! I wanted to use a grease pen and write the name, but I haven’t been able to find one!
6. This is what I think about all the 1Ls all dressed up for class this week:
7. Remember that shirt I bought Monday from Old Navy? Well I want another because it’s insanely comfortable, but I can’t pick a color! What color should I get?!?! (and don’t worry about size, they had all of them in the store, although not on sale…).
8. Um, yes please? Not only is it cute, but it will keep anyone from stealing my iPhone plug in!
9. Because I feel obligated (aka LOVE) to include some sort of Harry Potter reference in my Thursday Thoughts post… (I’ve been listening to the 7th book again while running so it’s fresh in my mind even though most of you have forgotten about HP in your normal lives…).

I’m such a cry baby when it comes to movies too! A few nights ago I watched New Year’s Eve, which is supposed to just be a light hearted chick flick right? Well I spent the last 15 minutes bawling my eyes out at the Robert de Niro storyline haha.
And I love the Harry Potter reference on the cup! Gosh I love those books. I think I’m still in denial that there isn’t another one coming out. 😛
I haven’t seen that movie! I’ll have to check it out.

I think when I actually get moved into my apartment and stock up I want to put dry goods in jars like that. I love that idea!

I love the jars they look so cute! I may have to copy your idea. Also, wanted to say I’m glad you posted about going to buy new jeans. I’m at a healthy weight too but many of my jeans have become snug and I’ve finally accepted I need some new pairs in a size up. I’m tired of being uncomfortable!
Exactly how I’ve been, I decided it was just time to stop getting frustrated with my jeans not fitting, it just made me feel awful!
i’m a huge fan of reds/corals so i always go in that family but i don’t know since we have such different hair color. i love them all! i am seriously addicted to old navy lately, i don’t know why. i feel like sometimes they’re the best and other times they’re super cheap and no good. this season is a great season!
It’s definitely hit or miss with their quality! I looked for a shirt I saw online but in the store I realized the fabric was so thin that it was see-through! Haha I’m not paying $24 for a see through shirt….
Can I borrow that dog? I miss my pup. My parents had to put him to sleep a couple months ago : (

DYING at that starbucks cup. God, I wish that happened to me. It would hav emade my life. I love HP on tape, it’s my fave book on tape ever. Do you listen to the British guy one? I love all his voices.
um of course I listen to the british guy one, his voice is so calming. sometimes if I can’t fall asleep I’ll just put it on… hahahaha.
Molly is so cute in those photos! I like the light blue/green or the gray/black top! I need to look for that movie on Netflix… I haven’t heard of it!
I’m thinking I may go with the black/grey… or even just solid black so it doesn’t look like I bought the same shirt in multiple colors, lol. Although I like the stripes, they create an optical illusion that makes my chest look bigger… or that I even have one. ha.
Last movie we rented was Hunger Games and I am a total movie/tv crier.

The movie that I ball almost all the time is the English Patient. Its so freaking sad that I go through a whole box of tissues. You should get the green striped shirt!

I reuse jars too. My boyfriend thinks I’m insane for saving glass jars but it’s so much cheaper than buying mason jars to store things in. Plus, I like the mismatch look and the smaller ones can double as tupperware for salad dressings!

Storing dry goods in jars might be one of the best ideas I’ve ever seen. I’m going to start copying you. Space saving AND adorable! Win win.
I’m a weird movie crier. All those “normal” movies to cry in (Toy Story 3, Up, A Walk to Remember) don’t get to me. I’m almost positive I cried in Wall-E, though, and don’t even get me started on The Hunger Games (which is also the most recent movie I’ve seen, since I’m a crazy obsessed fangirl and bought the 3-disc deluxe edition DVD the day it came out). District 11 makes me WEEP.

for the shirt i really like the yellow or the purple!

Was the movie good, or just tear-inducing? Get the green and white! I love it!
I really enjoyed it, but it was a classic Kate Hudson romantic comedy. But VERY tear inducing, haha. And I have the green and white!
I watched The Lucky One yesterday and didn’t shed a tear. But then I watched House Hunters and cried like a baby when he proposed to his gf. I am SO weird.

As for the shirt…tough question! I really like the orange (or is it red?!) stripped one! Or the plain purple, as you do already have a stripped one! Really couldn’t go wrong with any of them! I think I may need to make a trip to Old Navy this weekend…haha

HAHA I love the HP cup!! I’m a huge Harry Potter fan and often re-read the books. I have the audio books too and tried running to them but can’t seem to get into it!
I have to be in the right mood to run to the books, but sometimes I love to just play them when I’m doing things like chores!
I love the HP cup!! I want that. I am a huge fan. And to answer your question, I am a huge crier. I can’t help it! I get emotional at movies.
I never used to be a crier but I so am now!
That Harry Potter cup is pretty amazing. I wish I had realized both of our obsessions toward Harry Potter, we could have really geeked it out that weekend at the HLS lol 😉 You are a lucky duck for having Fridays off! I have Mondays off, but I would rather go with Fridays for sure! Although like you, I am sure I will be reading the day away
